The larva of An. turkhudi is morphologically close to An. cinereus; seta 1-A is long, as well as seta 3-P. It is recognised essentially by the presence of palmate setae the leaflets of which are blunt at the apex and that are present only on segments IV to VI. On segments III and VII the setae 1 are formed of only some narrow leaflets.
