The larva of Anopheles tenebrosus cannot be distinguished from that of Anopheles coustani and Anopheles ziemanni. Larvae of these 3 species differ from that of Anopheles hyrcanus by their simple and smooth setae 4-C and their pectinate setae 1-P.
