Anopheles cinereus (F)

Anopheles cinereus Theobald, 1901
Type-loc: Salisbury, Mashonaland, (Southern Rhodesia) now Harare, Zimbabwe

Subspecies Anopheles cinereus hispaniola is common in this area. White rings on the palpus, numerous white patches on the wings are diagnostic, especially median 3+4 and the anal veins. Similar species are: Anopheles superpictus, Anopheles multicolor, Anopheles sergentii, Anopheles turkhudi.
