Aedes punctor (Kirby, 1837)
Type-loc: Canada
Anal segment saddle complete as in Aedes nigripes, but incomplete in Aedes punctodes. Comb scales could be less than 12, but always shorter than in Aedes hexodontus (less than 0.8 mm). Number of seta 6-C branches variable according to the geographic origin of the specimens.
