Differentiation between females of Aedes geminus, Ae. cinereus and Ae. rossicus is difficult. Pale scales of abdominal terga and pleurites are greyish white in Ae. rossicus while scales on pleurites and sterna of both Ae. cinereus and Ae. geminus are yellowish white.
