Aedes albopictus (Skuse, 1894)
Type-loc: India

The stout spines found at the basal part of meso and metathoracic setae are present in Ae. aegypti, Ae. albopictus, Ae. cretinus, Aedes koreicus and Ae. japonicus.

Fringe of the pupal paddles bearing setae (as in Ae. (Stg.) cretinus). Larva and pupa of these 2 species can be misidentified around Cyprus, Georgia, Greece and Turkey.

This is an invasive species!
