Aedes aegypti (Linnaeus, 1762)
Type-loc: Malaysia

The stout spines found at the basal part of meso and metathoracic setae are present in Ae. aegypti, Ae. albopictus, Ae. cretinus, Aedes koreicus and Ae. japonicus; they are stronger in Ae. aegypti. The comb scales are diagnostic.

This is an invasive species!
