Culex brumpti is close to Culex theileri from which it differs, among other characters, by its entirely dark and strongly spiculate antennae, and by its comb of segment VIII formed of scales without long median thorn; sometimes with a minority of scales with long median thorn. Siphonal index from 5.0 to 8.5.
