Aedes echinus (L)

Aedes echinus (Edwards, 1920)
Type-loc: Macedonia, Greece

Very close to Ae. geniculatus and Ae. gilcolladoi but it looks more spiky. Abdominal setae 1-VI and 1-VII have 5 to 9 branches which are longer than in both other species.
