Aedes japonicus (Theobald, 1901)
Type-loc: Japan

The stout spines are present at the basal part of meso and metathoracic setae in Ae. aegypti, Ae. albopictus, Ae. cretinus, Aedes koreicus and Ae. japonicus.

Pecten with irregular spaced teeth, whose distal are long and stout; comb with 50 to 75 scales.

This is an invasive species!
