The larva of Anopheles ziemanni cannot be distinguished from that of Anopheles coustani and Anopheles tenebrosus. Larvae of these 2 species differ from Anopheles hyrcanus s.l. by their smooth and simple setae 4-C and their pectinate setae 1-P.
