Aedes koreicus (L)

Aedes koreicus (Edwards, 1917)
Type-loc: Korea

The stout spines found at the basal part of meso and metathoracic setae are present in Ae. aegypti, Ae. albopictus, Ae. cretinus, Aedes koreicus and Ae. japonicus.

Absence of the detached simple pecten spines and the complex form of the apical spines on the saddle in Ae koreicus are diagnostic characters that separate this species from Ae. japonicus.

This is an invasive species!
