Difficult to differentiate from Aedes caspius and Aedes dorsalis; differs by the spicules on the apico-distal margin of the saddle and the 3 or more precratal setae; apical seta 9-S is sometimes hooked but less so than in Aedes excrucians and Aedes surcoufi.
