Cette version est une reprise adaptée de l'identiciel "Les glossines ou mouches tsé-tsé" par J. Brunhes, D. Cuisance, B. Geoffroy, J.-P. Hervy - publié par IRD-Edition en 1998 et réalisé en collaboration avec le CIRAD.
Cette version est axée sur l'identification en ligne et de ce fait certains chapitres génériques à vocation didactique de la version initiale (techniques entomologiques, méthode de lutte et types de pièges...) n'ont pas été reprises ici.
