Cet identiciel discrimine les 100 espèces culicidiennes présentes en Europe, tant au stade larvaire qu'adulte et ceci à partir d'une approche multicritère illustrée.
Des données sur les caractères diagnostiques, la répartition, la biologie, l'intérêt médical, ainsi qu'une bibliographie sont fournis pour chaque espèce.
Une iconographie relative aux espèces et caractères discriminants retenus complètent cet identiciel.
